It's interesting that XGayGreg and Dede choose "Overcomer Ministries" as the name for their online-onradio church group. Because that name has been used before. By a church. Run by a criminal.
Ralph Gordon Stair had a radio ministry also. He was arrested on charges of criminal sexual conduct, and later pled guilty to assault and battery. Brother Stair only spent 77 days in custody, but his ministry was shattered.
Now XGayGreg and Dede have their own Overcomer Ministry that is blaring nightly on BlogTalk Radio. It's adorable. XGayGreg talks about how the devil is the Prince of the Airwaves -- Not realizing, I suppose, that his show doesn't ever actually hit any airwaves!
XGayGreg and Dede also have guests on almost every night. It's amazing that they keep digging up people who are willing to be on their show. But, never underestimate the power of a publicity-seeking prayer person. There are requirements if you want to be on their show though:
You MUST have been gay or lesbian and be willing to tell how Jesus saved you from this lifestyle.
You MUST have been sexually abused or molested in some way.
If you weren't sexually abused, then you must have been a child abuser or molester at some point. You must be willing to tell how Jesus saved you from that sin. (We got to listen to a lovely child molester one night. Nice.)
Drugs? Alcohol? Any other perversion? You are welcomed to talk about any and all horrible acts you've committed. These people think that if you took a drink in high school that that act could lead you into a gay lifestyle.
But you MUST be delivered from that sin, and you must be able to tell a story of how it was Jesus that "set you free" from it. And be graphic. They had a 16 year old child one night talking about having lesbian sex. Graphically. They had a man talk about molesting children. Their show will curl your hair and make even a stalwart man cry. It is awful and terrible. These people claim to have no control over their lives. God and the devil are responsible for every action they take.
I wouldn't be surprised if XGayGreg and Dede suffer the same fate that Brother Stair did, but on a much smaller scale. (He was bringing in over $100,000 a week... money XGayGreg would give the devil a blowjob for.)
